Saturday night at the 10th Annual West Indies United Awards Gala, VirginiaReggae.com won the Community Service award. We are very pleased to have this prestigious award from one of the areas premier Caribbean organizations. To those of you who support us, this is your award!

Vanguard Award: Anthony Chambers

Lifetime Achievement award: Tony and Eupha Jackson
Business Of the year award: Montego's Restaurant and Grocery
The two scholarship winners were: Sha' Kara Chambers and Keivan Zolfaghari
The following persons were recognized in the Sports personality category; Shawn Gale, Patrick McCalla, Marlin Machlin and Seko Francis.
In his opening remarks, the President of WIU, Mr Otwell "Johnny" Richardson reminded us that, "Our culture must be preserved! If not by us then who? If not now then when? The keynote speaker was Dr. Wanda Barnard- Bailey, Deputy City Manager for Human Development and Community Initiatives in Chesapeake, Virginia. Master of ceremonies was Desmond Figaro.
